About RJames Baseball
RJames Baseball is a baseball game in which users can draft a team of real baseball players and put them together on a team. The teams play one another in simulated games with the outcomes based on the real world historical performance of those players. The code that controls the simulation is written in C++, with a MySql API integration. The website backend is written with PHP and utilizes a MySQL database. The front end is written using Bootstrap and Javascript.
Ian James
I fell in love with baseball playing Stratomatic with my father as a kid. We would replay the 1975 World Series together and he'd bring to life all the players I'd never seen play myself. As the Red Sox came to dominance in the 2000's my interest grew and by 2008 I was completely engrossed. Playing baseball management games has always been interesting to me, as so much strategy goes into so many game decisions. I started learning C++ in 2017, and working wtih RJ to develop this project has been some of the most challenging and enjoyable work I've ever done.
RJ Keaveney
RJ co-created RJames Baseball with Ian. Also an avid lover of Baseball who fell in love with the Red Sox in the early 2000's, RJ graduated from SNHU in 2019 with a degree in Game Programming and Development. He primarily works to develop new features and expand on the existing codebase in the C++ client that powers the baseball simulation.
